Finding Your Brand’s Purpose!

Hey everyone, Alex here from De Mellows, Singapore’s leading digital agency. We help businesses get more clients and grow their business and authority online.

Do you ever wonder that sometimes even if you have the best offers and gimmicks, but you still can’t figure out how to relate with your target audience? And how to get them to choose your company over your brand competitors? I believe that you may have already read a lot of books and blogs about branding, but you feel that something is lost. Because of this, your efforts at selling went down. You know you have a great vision and excellent products, but you can’t seem to get your Brand to connect with your desired audience. The answer is your Brand needs something more. It needs a purpose.

Your Brand’s purpose is the “why” behind your Brand. It is the reason why your company exists. A brand purpose defines the essence or the core of your company. It is what your company stands for. If you want to grow and stand out, your Brand has to believe in something beyond its products and services.

If you want to discover the purpose of your Brand, we suggest that you ask yourself these following 6 questions:

  1. What did you see that you want to change?
  2. How can you communicate your products that will inspire your audience to trust your Brand?
  3. How does your Brand fit in? And how do you want others to want to see your Brand?
  4. How will your Brand’s purpose motivate those that you work with?
  5. How can you challenge your Brand to make a big difference to others?

The benefits of having a clear brand purpose:

  • Stand up for a belief that will add value to the lives of your consumers, society, and the environment.
  • Stand out from your competitors with your clear message.
  • Stand firm by creating an influential corporate culture with a clear vision for the Brand’s long-term mission & vision.

If you want to stand out and be successful, you need to stand for something that you believe in. That is what a brand purpose is all about. Do yourself a favour and discover your Brand’s purpose.

Why Are Your Facebook Ads Not Giving You Results?

Why Are Your Facebook Ads Not Giving You Results?

Hey everyone, Alex Lee here from De Mellows, Singapore’s leading digital agency. We help businesses get more clients and grow their business and authority online.

With more than a billion daily users, Facebook is a favourite for those who want to diversify their marketing budget. Google is the defacto but FaceBook can be powerful too. Spending money into an ad campaign that is destined to fail isn’t a good strategy. Many brands breaking into online ads don’t see an improvement due to the same issue: they are not accessible to their audiences. There is no recognition and no trust. Here are some reasons why your ads are not giving you what you want.

Unclear Goals
Just like with any other marketing and advertising medium, Facebook is used for a specific purpose. Without a clear goal and a strong strategy in place, the ads will fail. And you are just wasting money.

To get the most out of Facebook advertising, set your goals straight.
The most popular goals of small business in using Facebook are:

  • Building awareness
  • Attracting new customers
  • Increasing website traffic
  • Improving customer retention

Once you planned out your goals, figure out how you are going to achieve this.

Targeting the wrong audience
It does not matter how good your visuals are, how clever your content is or even how excellent your offer is, if you don’t run your ads to the “right audience”, it will flop. Facebook allows you to create a custom scope of audience. The great thing about Facebook Ads is that they provide you with the ability to target your ads so that they appear to the exact audience who will be intrigued about your post or offer and take action.

Boring Ads
Visuals are essential in the digital world. You might want to take a look at adjusting the way your ads look and make it more appealing. Facebook is a very visual platform, and you will want to make sure that your ads are eye-catching to your preferred audience. You must always include a call-to-action within your ad so that people know what to do next. Use minimal text and more visual and try to avoid cheesy stock photos.

In Conclusion:

Running Facebook ads is a fantastic way to generate good leads. It is social media. It is about creating the right strategy and tweaking it until you get it right. It may not work the 1st time around but heyyyy it is about testing and tweaking. Once you get the formula right, scale it to success!

How To Handle a Social Media Crisis

How To Handle a Social Media Crisis

Hey everyone, Alex Lee here from De Mellows, Singapore’s leading digital agency. We help businesses get more clients and grow their business and authority online. Today I’m going to share with you what to do during a social media crisis.

Humans run your social media accounts but on the other hand, your customers or prospects are also humans and problems may arise for some reason or the other. That is why we need to prepare and plan if a crisis comes especially online. Here are some necessary steps to follow to alleviate the damage caused by a social media crisis:

Create a Social Media Policy
A documented social media policy must be established. When you have clear guidelines for your staff on what or what not to post – you must lessen the risk of someone going rogue and sending your social media profiles into the whirlwind. You must also ensure your staff knows how and when to answer to avoid unwarranted confrontations or fights online.

Acknowledge and Apologize
Acknowledge your mistakes and apologize if there is a mistake on your end. In the meantime, keep the discussion to a more personal channel, like private messaging or take it offline. You could offer an email address, a phone number, or other means of communication outside social media. You have to diffuse the situation well and may not necessarily be an apology but you must be level headed at all times to ensure both you and the other party walk away satisfied.

Pause Scheduled Posts
Postpone your scheduled posts. Nothing says, “We don’t care what you think” more than posting irrelevant content in the middle of a crisis. This will only make your brand look inconsiderate and insensitive.

Evaluate and Learn
Before you hop in and start the response phase of your plan, figure out if the crisis in question is a real crisis.

  • Key questions to ask:
    – What caused the problem?
    – How could you stop it from happening again?
    – How well did you react?
    – What could you do better next time?

Conclusion:
Mistakes happen, and more brands will see a social media crisis occur than those who don’t. Responding quickly and being transparent is the key. This shows your customers and prospective customers that you care.

3 Tips for Creating High Converting Landing Pages

TRANSCRIPT: Target Multiple Keywords For SEO

Hey everyone, Alex Lee here again from De Mellows – Singapore’s leading digital agency. We help businesses get more clients and grow their business and authority online.

Today, I’ll be sharing with you three suggestions for creating a laser-focused landing page content for attracting prospects and increasing conversion rates.

1. Create powerful headlines.

Your headline should either make a compelling promise or arouse curiosity. It is what captures your readers’ attention and entices them to stay on your page. You should grab your reader’s attention so they will keep reading your content.

One example of a catchy landing page headline is Evernote’s, “Remember Everything”. Two words. I mean, who hasn’t forgotten something important? It says it all for the company as a whole, both a solution and a mission.

Another one is Quora’s, “ Sign up to read Quora. Quora is your best source of knowledge”. Who doesn’t want to be a part of that, right?

Make it simple. Focus more on the benefits or solution that your audience will get rather than the features of what you are offering.

2. Use more testimonials.

Testimonials are an excellent way for overcoming skepticism and building credibility. If you have a live event coming soon and you’re inviting your customers, ask them if they can have a short video testimonial for you and post these testimonials on your landing page.

You can also ask your customers for written testimonials. Politely ask if they can give their feedback or opinion to your products or services. This way, you’re building credibility and proof that your products or services work.

3. Lastly, integrate an emotional hook in your headline and first paragraph.

Tapping into your prospect’s emotions is more effective and much stronger than logical selling. So it’s important to know what the problem your prospect needs to solve or study how your prospect feels about your product or service, then you can go from there.

So those are the three suggestions for creating a laser-focused landing page content for attracting prospects and increasing conversion rates.
